The highest point is at an altitude of 1439 meters, known as Wilson or Sunrise Point, and is a popular attraction. The charming hill station is the source of the Krishna River. At the point of origin of Krishna River, there's an ancient temple of Lord Shiva. It is a highly revered temple visited by hordes of devotees. Lonavala

It is a perfect weekend getaway from Mumbai especially during the monsoons. The scenic hill station has numerous waterfalls, lakes and valleys around it. It is also a popular place for hikers and trekkers. Lonavala is part of the Sahyadri mountain range, providing an alluring experience of nature. It is a must visit for nature lovers who want to have a soulful stay amidst nature. Most travellers also visit the nearby towns of Khandala and Rajmachi on their way to Lonavala. Most popular attractions in Lonavala include Bhaja caves, Karla caves, Bushi dam, Rajmachi fort, Ryewood Lake, among others. Matheran

It is among the smallest hill stations in India known for its numerous look-out points that provide breathtaking views of sunrise and sunset views. It is located in the Raigad district of Maharashtra, and is untouched by the busy city life surrounding it. Matheran has been declared as an Eco sensitive zone by the government. Get ready to walk through the town, though, because automobiles are not allowed inside the town. You will, however, enjoy the calm and quiet of Matheran with no pollution. Matheran is also renowned for its rich flora including a great variety of medicinal herbs and plants.

Bhimashankar

It is a popular temple town located about 223 km from Mumbai, It is famous for having one of the twelve 'Jyotilingam' of Lord Shiva in India. It is an enthralling place surrounded by green forests and hills. Bhimashankar is much sought after destination by both devotees and nature lovers.

Panchgani

Perched at an altitude of 1334 m, it is a famous hill station near Mahabaleshwar. Its name is derived from the five hills surrounding it, Panchgani is visited for its many sunrise and sunset points and panoramic valley views. The vantage points offer lovely backdrop of hills on one side and coastal plains on the other. During the British era, it was treated as a summer resort and you will find many colonial period establishments here.
