If you are fond of forest walks and colourful flora and fauna that show up when the heavens open, this is your chance to capture them. Sanjay Gandhi National Park (SGNP), which is spread over an area of 104 sq km, is hosting an overnight macro photography workshop for enthusiasts this weekend.

"We have been organising this workshop for three years. But for the first time, we decided to spread it over two days, so participants can spend enough time with the experts. One-day events don't allow sufficient time for interaction," informs Poonam Katkar, Education and
Extension Officer (SGNP).

"The workshop will be monitored by well-known wildlife photographer Yuwaraj Gurjar. He will be teaching techniques of macro photography on field along with lighting techniques," she adds.

There will also be a nature trail. "We haven't made an official announcement but we have plans to take participants through the forest, where they can click reptiles and amphibians, who can be spotted in the monsoon. There will be enough flora and fauna to photograph," she reveals.

The charges are inclusive of food, dormitory stay and internal transport (from the camp to the forest trail and back).
